The "dicke Heinrich" (the "thick" as in big boned Heinrich) from the 50’s

"Dicker Heinrich" was a cabaret artist in the 50’s. He gained fame by performing mainly "Coubelier" (the right spelling is not confirmed yet) from Ernst Reuter.

One of his famous sayings was: "Gehst Du weg vom Fleck, ist der Überzieher weg" (it does not translate well into English but basically says "if you are going away, your coat will be gone" which attracts mainly in German with its rhyming form.

Besides, he had a snack stand as well situated on Ku-Damm, on the corner of Brandenburgische Str, where they mainly served shashlik with kidneys. His main production center at the Einsteinufer supplied mainly to the Berliner Haute-Couture as a city kitchen.

Frank Friedrich was working parallel at Maximilian and Heinrich in Berlin as the goods were supplied to the fashion houses.
